## Ingredients

- [ ] water 350 mL (~12 fl oz)
|
|
- [ ] milk 350 mL (~12 fl oz)
|
|
- [ ] loose leaf ~2 tbsp
|
|
- [ ] sugar 2 tbsp
|
|
- [ ] cardamom 2-3 pods
|
|
- [ ] cloves 1-2 cloves
|
|
- [ ] cumin
|
|
- [ ] ginger
|
|
- [ ] cinnamon (like half a stick or so)
|
|
- [ ] black pepper
|
|
- [ ] all spice
|
|
- [ ] nutmeg
|
|
- [ ] fennel
|
|
- [ ] anise
|
|
## Tools

|
- pot
|
|
- strainer
|
|
- ladle
|
|
- stirring spoon

## Steps
|
|
- boil water in pot
|
|
- turn heat to medium high add black tea leaves to water and let boil for 20-40 seconds
|
|
- add sugar and spices to tea [^1] [^2] [^3]
|
|
- turn down heat to medium and let it sit for 30 seconds
|
|
- add milk and turn on medium high heat while stirring infrequently
|
|
- once cha starts to boil over take off heat and stir till calmed then put back on heat. repeat 2-3 times
|

- aerate between vessels before serving (optional)
|
|
