Makes 4 Soufflé

Ingredients

  • eggs 3
  • sugar 40g (3 table spoons)
  • melted butter 60g (5 tablespoons / 1/4 cup)
  • salt pinch
  • vanilla extract to taste
  • cream of tarter dash
  • butter to grease ramekins

Optional

  • melted chocolate 120g

Tools

  • stove
  • mixing bowl 2
  • whisk
  • ramekin 3

Steps

  • preheat oven to 190ºC (375ºF)
  • separate egg whites and yokes into separate mixing bowls
  • add and mix butter, salt, and vanilla into, egg yokes
  • add cream of tarter to egg whites and beat till stiff peaks
  • add and mix sugar into egg white meringue
  • add and mix the first mixture to the meringue till incorporated
  • brush a thin layer of melted butter to on the side of the ramekins
  • pour into ramekins, smooth off top, and dig a small trench around outer edge of ramekin
  • cook in oven for 15 minutes
