# Makes ~3 tablespoons Garam Masala

- modified from standard recipe: added ginger powder and reduced pepper
## Ingredients
- [ ] ground cumin 1 tablespoon
- [ ] ground coriander 1 ½ teaspoons
- [ ] ground cardamom 1 ½ teaspoons
- [ ] ground black pepper ½ teaspoon
- [ ] ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon
- [ ] ground cloves ½ teaspoon
- [ ] ground nutmeg ½ teaspoon
- [ ] ginger powder ½ teaspoon
## Tools
- small bowl
- airtight container
## Steps
- combine all spices in a small bowl
- mix thoroughly until evenly distributed
- store in an airtight container
